The Colorado Rapids have begun their offseason makeover.First, the team announced Thursday afternoon that captain Jack Price did not have his option for the 2024 season renewed. 24-Year-Old Passenger Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Accident near 7th Standard RoadBAKERSFIELD, CA (October 26, 2023) – Michael Leo Gonzalez lost his life Sunday afternoon, in a fuel-truck crash on Main Drain Road. Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 1st, responding to the incident that took place in the southbound lanes, just north of 7th Standard Road.According to initial reports, the fatal accident occurred when the 19-year-old driver of a 2014 International Pro Star fuel-truck, traveling southward, lost control of the vehicle. Tiny homes are being built at a faster paste, which is incredible news.Although these tiny homes are a big step toward lowering the number of those unhoused, I believe affordable housing would be a better option. Affordable housing would be more effective as a long-term solution, rather than tiny homes, which only allow individuals to stay for about six months to a year.I believe that attention should be brought to what is causing such high rates of unhoused people, and address those factors.
