ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York Folklore is putting on its final event in a free, three-part showcase of the Capital Region's folk music traditions. The show will feature The Kleiner Klezmer Orchestra and Joshua Sussman, and is being held at WAMC’s The Linda at 3 p.m. on May 7. The Kleiner Klezmer Orchestra incorporates Yiddish folk music, folk dance tunes, and “folklorized” music of Yiddish theater. MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is launching a volunteer program for kids in grades 6-12. Humane Heroes Unleashed will provide teens with an opportunity to learn hands-on animal care and assist in animal shelter operations. Patrick Orecki, the Director of State Studies at the Citizens Budget Commission, explained the long delay with the state budget is a concern, not just for the State's planning purposes but also for budget planning on the local level. COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - One teenager faces felony charges in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this week. Prosecutors have charged Isaiah Jenkins, 16, with two counts of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. His bond is set at $5 million in the case, per Illinois court records. JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (AP) — Two U.S. Army helicopters collided in flight Thursday in Alaska while returning from a training mission, killing three soldiers and injuring a fourth, the Army said.Two of the soldiers died at the crash site near Healy, Alaska, and a third died on the way to a hospital in Fairbanks. A fourth soldier was being treated at a hospital for injuries, the Army said in a statement Thursday.
