Temperatures in flux through Friday with a chance of strong storms Thursday night AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A cold front has been slowly moving through Central Texas and dropping temperatures for some of our northern communities into the 50s and 60s, while keeping areas south of the front in the 70s and 80s. Austin briefly hit the low 80s, but cooler temperatures arriving as we head into the evening.Overnight lows should drop into the upper 50s to lower 60s before warmer air makes a return. San Francisco PD wants more women to become officers SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department recently signed the "30 by 30 Pledge" as part of its efforts to recruit more women onto the police force.Currently in San Francisco, only 14 percent of sworn police officers and 17 percent of SFPD leadership are women.
