ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police have made an arrest in connection to a bank robbery that took place in 2019 on South Pearl Street. Leon Samuel was arrested Tuesday after a years-long investigation. Around 9:30 a.m. on July 25, 2019, police said Samuel entered the SEFCU bank at 200 South Pearl St. and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and Samuel fled with the cash.No one was injured during the incident. The 55-year old was charged with Robbery in the Third Degree. MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- The wife of one of the four Americans kidnapped in Mexico last week is thankful he's alive but is heartbroken for the families of the two who were found dead. Michelle Williams, the wife of Eric Williams, told Nexstar's WBTW she didn't know where he was going, just that he was going to help two friends. She said the FBI showed up at her door on Sunday to inform her of what happened. "I didn't hear from him after Friday," she explained. "Friday morning he texted me and I texted him back immediately. He didn't respond so I'm going to assume that's when he was ambushed."Michelle said the whole incident has been surreal. Memphis authorities have concluded their investigation into the actions of police officers and fire department members in the fatal January arrest of Tyre Nichols, a top Memphis law enforcement official said Tuesday. Jennifer Sink, who is the chief legal officer for Memphis, said during a meeting of the city council’s Public Safety Committee that the police and fire departments conducted administrative investigations to determine if any of their members violated department policies in their involvement with Nichols’ arrest and death. “At this stage, the investigation has been concluded,” she said. Sink said officials are uploading about 20 hours of video and audio from police footage as soon as Wednesday afternoon. Ranger assistance was requested at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, for a rescue that would run until 8 p.m. that evening. The hiker, a 51-year-old New Jersey resident, was believed to be near Hopkins Junction, after having gotten lost due to the snowy landscape. The hiker was found near Marcy Dam, and was nearing hypothermic conditions. The hiker was guided back to his vehicle, with no medical attention needed.
