Dakota County closes Schulze Lake after possible contamination, outbreak

Schulze Lake in Eagan’s Lebanon Hills Regional Park has been temporarily closed due to potential contamination.Dakota County announced the closing Friday, citing a “potential waterborne viral outbreak.” The county’s parks department didn’t identify the virus at issue or provide any details about illnesses associated with the lake.The county said the Minnesota Department of Health advised the closing as a precautionary measure.Affected are Schulze Beach and other water activities there such as canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing. ST. LOUIS - After a murder in the shadow of city hall Thursday evening, St. Louis Sheriff Vernon Betts says he’s seen enough. He blames one small park in the heart of downtown for much of the violence.“Enough is enough," Betts said. “We’ve got bullet holes in the City Court building – three. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- History has been made at Oracle Park. It took 23 seasons, but the San Francisco Giants recorded their 100th "Splash Hit" home run on Friday. Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. homered on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning against the Baltimore Orioles. That is the 100th time a Giant hit a homer over the right field wall and into McCovey Cove in the San Francisco Bay.
